We, MarkScan, have been duly authorized by Crunchyroll, LLC to issue this notice to you under the provisions of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act (OCILLA), a part of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act 1998 (DMCA), whereunder the service providers are to be held strictly liable for the acts of their users are required to cease access to the copyright material, immediately upon being put to notice of the infringement.
Crunchyroll, LLC is the owner of certain rights to a vast catalog of copyright protected works, hereafter referred to as “Protected Work(s)”. A representative list of these Protected Work(s) has been included as Appendix A.
This notice is to bring to your attention that we have found copyright infringement on the application named “Dantotsu” that is using your services. Dantotsu enables unauthorized access to anime content, an activity which is well established as copyright infringement under applicable laws and relevant case law. A representative number of screenshot(s) where such infringing material can be found has been included in Appendix B.
We have found material on your service that promotes, directs to, or enables the ongoing infringement via Dantotsu. The infringing material comprises the above-mentioned Protected Work(s). Please find the GitHub Channel(s) where similar infringing material can be accessed below:
